You can use something as simple as a text editor like vi or pico to create webpages. All you need to know is html, php or whatever technology you wish to use. Most will opt for html when learning and simple non complicated pages.
And of course if you want graphics on your site, you'll most likely need to develop some skills there as I don't usually recommend using other peoples graphics, its just lazy to me and I can't stand going to sites that just look like other sites, etc. ;) And of course a host provider to serve your pages and site. |

HTML
So i should go to some computer store and buy some book about html.
Is ther any books related to linux and webpage making. |
I don't think there are specific books for website design in Linux, and there is no need for any; HTML (or any of the other technologies) is platform-independent. Any book on HTML will do, and there are even lots of relatively decent free online resources.
However, the aforementioned NVU aside (it's still in beta and I haven't checked it out, but it appears to be incomplete from what they say on the website), in Linux you have to code by hand mostly. This isn't quite as easy as working with the WYSIWYG editors you find for Windows (Net Objects Fusion, Frontpage, to name but two). Robin |
A good site for internet design is
http://www.w3schools.com/ They've got all sorts of good refs and tutorials there. |
Another good program for html, php, sql and more for beginners is 'BlueFish'

there's also a program called screem.. But this NVU program looks pretty good.
