What might be the best Peer to Peer program for Linux?
I was wondering which program would be best for downloading simply music. I saw on some desktop screenshot that someone had Kazaa for Linux. I was thinking that this might be an app using wine. But I was not sure . If anyone could let me know, I just wanted to find the best P2P program out there. It doesnt have to be all types of files either. I just want to download music. I also know it is illegal, but then again, everything should be open source, heh  Thanks again! -IIven |
best for p2p is giFT with Gnutella and FastTrack plugins and using the giftui client
|
limewire is also good (supposedly. I haven't managed to get any p2p running yet).
|
xnap is good if you have java
|
Use the search function, that has been asked many times before.

Limewire is awsome. I use only that. Have not tried much of the rest so I don't know if it's the best.

mldonkey
but we've answered this question 2 days ago too ;) |
Gtk-gnutella is a great gnutella client, and IMO much more featureful (as well as responsive) than LimeWire.
|
Apollon is a nice Gui, works just like the older versions of kazaa. logs into Gnutella, Fastrack, and OpenFT networks.
