What is the program/command for switching video devices drivers between v4l and v4l2?
I know there is one out-there but I don't remember it at all.
My webcam doesn't work with V4l2, and that's the default loaded driver. What's the way for swtiching it back to v4l? I remember once I fonud a program (I think it was gnome-devices or something like that, honestly I don't remember well) that allowed me to change between using v4l or v4l2 for each video device. Is there anyone that knows what I'm talking about? Thank you in advance, Mauricio |
Hi Mauricio,
I can name just one program with such function - Ekiga. There, in 'Preference/Video Devices' window you can choose between Picture/V4l/V4l2 plugins. Is that what you meant? In console you can do it with module management (like rmmod command) to remove wrong driver from the memory. |
Hi,
That wasn't exactly what I meant. I knew that about ekiga, but when you're trying to use another program, that doesn't help. I have found what I was looking for, googling a lot. The command was: gstreamer-properties Thank you anyway! |
