Pointless question.
Might as well ask what is the latest car.

Linux is a kernel, not a "distro".

Any of the 'rolling' distributions. They are considered the 'latest and most up to date distros.'

Arch, Fedora, that sort of thing.

Remember, as mentioned, Linux is a kernel, the programs and utilities surrounding it make up the 'distro.'

While that seems to me to be a useless question (how will the answer to that help?), currently the answer is probably openSUSE. There was a release a couple of hours ago.

Probably tomorrow there will be something else that is latest. Presumably, when that comes out, you'll want to download and install that. Given that there are probably 300 - 500 distros under some kind of development, you'll soon find out that there are logical limits to that process (and, you'll have installed lots of distros that you'll never use).

Own? Armpit?

I don't know what you mean by 'valid'. You might mean 'current', otherwise I can't think how this relates to your original question.

It would be more useful to have some useful requirement against which we could try to help you towards a solution to whatever problem you have. Otherwise, you are probably on your own, or will have to follow essentially 'random' answers.

there is no 'latest' distribution, only those that are actively maintained and those that are not, the question is which distribution contains the most bleeding edge software and that would be as mentioned a rolling release, but best to look at distrowatch.

keep in mind though as with anything, newest isn't always best since slightly older software has been around long enough to have more of it's bugs worked out.

You might like to try Salix: "Linux for lazy Slackers" or Slackware with added software and user-friendliness. It's hardly the latest thing, any more than Debian Wheezy is, but it's certainly stable and quite different to the others you have.

I wish I could tell you. If I knew, I'd have to give it a spin. Maybe not a guaranteed keeper, but I'd have to give it a go to see what it was like.

Manjaro is rolling-based, and rolling doesn't tend to come with releases, so that tends to obviate the need for release names, so maybe there is a mistake here. Maybe, its an ARM branch of Manjaro, but, even then, the 'pit' bit would be slightly unusual, don't you think?

You'd have to build latest distro yourself actually.

As noted, distrowatch tends to have new releases.

Releases as a word tends to mean stable as opposed to nightly or RC or Beta and such.

Why this particular question? You have tried several, therefore the assumption is that you can see those distributions' download pages and be able to download their latest releases; as well as perform the update actions that each distribution offers.

However, why is it so important to have "the latest"?
