hi everybody
i have just got out of a problem caused by mplayer
and a while ago i failed to install xine
so i need a good alternative to view my movies that i download by using torrents with all the needed codecs
I prefer kaffeine, but you can use vlc, totem or xine. Its best to install most multimedia apps with urpmi/rpmdrake after adding the plf repos to your urpmi sources because it usually installs all the required codecs automatically.
Kaffeine has a tendency to hog system resources for some reason on my machine. I find Totem is the best for DVD's. MPlayer is the best for other forms of video.
