Post What is a file like filename.1.2.3?

I have a library file named "libshift.so.1.5.2.3". Windows XP shows that it is 3 file. How can I get or install these 3 files from original file in linux?

It would be "better" too keep all questions related to one problem (Garfield-n and libshift.so) together as much as possible. Please ask the moderator to close this thread and focus on the one you already opened for it.
