What happens when you try to open .odt in Microsoft Office?


I'm getting tired of switching to .doc format all the time for drones.

I doubt MS office can read it, at least without some sort of plugin. I have no idea if one exists. You can always send a RTF though, so long as you don't need too many advanced features.

MS is talking about supporting the Open Document Format--but I don't think any tools are here yet.

"drones"?? Are we speaking in the pejorative about our MS Word brethen....

Like many of the best things in life, good communication takes two people--each is responsible for confirming a common language. Even machines do it--just listen to 2 fax machines negotiating their comm paradigm (It's almost musical.... )
