What does the 'guava' do?

I use RHEL 5. I patch my machine yesterday and can not start my Jboss any more. I find out the installed package 'guava' is erased and a new package 'guava-13.0.1-1.redhat' is installed.

I wonder what does the 'guava' do?

Isn't that version a bit old? I see references to it dating from 2007. If you've paid for it and it's still supported you can contact the RHEL support line for help with your problem.

"guava" : https://code.google.com/p/guava-libraries/
""The Guava project contains several of Google's core libraries ..""
"Learn about Guava" → Our users' guide, GuavaExplained
https://code.google.com/p/guava-libr...GuavaExplained :
User Guide.

http://packetstormsecurity.com/files...3-0839-02.html
→ guava-libraries-13.0.1-1.redhat_1.ep6.el5.1.src.rpm
( That's the source src.rpm = SRPM, that packages are built from.)

* Easy to find with Google !
