What do you do with .tgz.bin files?

Hello,

I have this file that is supposedly some type of package for a beta version of some software that I'm supposed to play with, but it has a .tgz.bin extension on it and can't figure out what to do with it.

The file for other linux distros also has a .bin at the end up it, like .rpm.bin

I've tried everything that I could find and so far nothing has worked.

I've tried renaming it so that's it's .tgz but installpkg doesn't recognize it.I've tried extracting a iso out of the file, lol, I've tried mounting it, it doesn't work.

I think it's supposed to be some type of install package.

If anyone thinks they could help me figure this out it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

.bin files are normally self-extracting.
Just add executable priv eg
chmod u+x blah.tgz.bin
and run it
./blah.tgz.bin
