what do i do with old modules and stuff when i make a new kernel?

i just installed slackware 10.1 and compiled kernel 2.6.13, but i've still got a bunchy of 2.4.29 modules out in /lib/modules, do i need them? if i dont, is there some easy way(a script or something) to clear out all of the stuff that's specific to my old kernel that i dont need anymore?

You do not neet these modules if you never boot your 2.4.29 kernel again.

"is there some easy way(a script or something) to clear out all of the stuff that's specific to my old kernel that i dont need anymore?"

delete the /lib/modules/2.4.29 directory and all of its contents.

There might be some more in /boot. You might have a config file and/or an initrd in /boot that belong with kernel 2.4.9.
