what codec do i need to play MPG files???

i currently have w32codecs, and libdvdcss2 installed on my Debian-sarge 2.6.8kernel system. i run the latest vs of KDE that apt-get will give me along with Kaffeine as my main video player.

it will play a very small selection of MPG files, but will just timeout on most MPG files. is there something i am missing, some codec i need to add, what?

Hi

Have you tried MPlayer? With its standard set op codecs, I still need to find a video file of any format (.rm, .mpg, .avi, .qt, etc. etc.) that it won't play.
