what's wrong with this sound recording?

Hello

I've got Aurox 11.0, it's based on Fedora Core 3. And when I try to record sound from microphone or from TV there is silence. I tried KRec installed with distro, Audacity (compiled it) and streamer.
There is sound, I can play mp3 and watch TV with sound I can't only record it. Streamer records only video and at the end of recording following error shows up:

avi / video: MJPEG (AVI) / audio: 16bit stereo (LE)
oss: read: Input/output error0], a/v: -0.00s [0]
I can hear sound from microphone but, in KRec, volume bar shows silence. When I record file in KRec and then play it all I get is silence... What's wrong?.

Post .wav recorder

You have to use a .wav recording program, put it on record, and then start singing, or whatever into the mic.

I will name only inputs/outputs that are turned off in alsamixer and entries that have only settings (no volume control):
Surround: Shared
Headphon: volume 00
Line Jac: description is MM and there is no volume bar above it
Mic Boos: volume 00
Mic: Mic1
IEC958: description MM, no volume bar
IEC958 0: volume 00
IEC958 P: AC-Link
Channel: 2ch
Downmix: Off
Exchange: volume 00
External: volume 00
Input So: Input 1
Input So: Input 1
Spread F: volume 00
Stereo M: volume 00

The rest has no null values (volume is set to some value).
All named above settings and null volume values can't be changed.

Yes I use Alsa. As I wrote in my first post I can hear sound from microphone, but I can't record it.
