Question What's up with LILO?

I have a 15 GB hard disk with three partitions on it (four if you consider the linux swap). Two of the partitions are FAT32 (one containing documents and stuff and one with windows XP professional ed installed on it). I installed Red Hat 7.0 on the third partition, choosing to install LILO with it. The problem is whenever I try to install LILO (or start it from the Linux console) I get this fatal error message:

"sector 18033765 too large for linear mode (try 'lba32' instead)"

So the question is how do I get LILO to run?

LILO from RH 7.0 is quite old. Get a new version and your problem should disappear (note: do you have "lba" in /etc/lilo.conf ?)

Edit /etc/lilo.conf

Replace the line "linear" with "lba32", you only need linear on old BIOSs

Well, I downloaded a new lilo and it works (well it began working after some config, some failed bootings and so on...)
Took me some time to find out I needed lba32 mode (someone should mention that in the README)
So 10x allot for the asist
