well what do ya know... it wont install!!!
TRYING to get redhat 9 installed on a scsi drive. the card is a new adaptec u320 card. there is a utility that comes with the card that creates a driver disk for linux. among the many driver choices is one for redhat 9. so i make the disk, run the linux install using "linux dd" and tell it to read the floppy disk. and guess what??? i get an error saying no supported devices were found on the disk. so i manually try to choose and load a driver... ive tried all the adaptec drivers that anaconda lists and none work. when i get to the section where i have to choose a drive to install to, all i see are the 2 IDE drives. anyone wanna take a shot at this newest linux joke?
amazing... i put in a windows xp cd and it just installs flawlessly.
