Weird FFMpeg compile failure

Hi all

I'm try to compile ffmpeg-0.4.9-pre1 on FC6 - as usual, compiling it worked 100% fine on FC3...

I get the following error after ./configure and make:

[rylan@StefanLinux ffmpeg-0.4.9-pre1]$ make
make -C libavcodec all
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/rylan/ffmpeg-0.4.9-pre1/libavcodec'

In file included from avcodec.h:14,
from common.c:28:
common.h:67: error: array type has incomplete element type
common.h:71: error: array type has incomplete element type
make[1]: *** [common.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/rylan/ffmpeg-0.4.9-pre1/libavcodec'
make: *** [lib] Error 2
[rylan@StefanLinux ffmpeg-0.4.9-pre1]$

Any ideas how I can fix this and get ffmpeg to compile?

Thanks!

When you did ./configure - were the last few lines like this:
Code:
Creating config.mak and config.h
config.h is unchanged
Do a make clean before the ./configure step.

Why not install ffmpeg via yum?
(I think it is livna repo. Use the yum.conf from www.fedorafaq.org)
# yum install ffmpeg

Hi studioj

Thanks, I'll see if I can give it a whirl. I did manage to get MPlayer / Mencoder compiled and working in the meantime though, so this has slipped a bit as regards priority.

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

Regards,
