webmin question
hello
this first time i download , intsall and configure webmin for confoguration squid server. I am using redhat 9. webmin ver webmin-1.110 and squid is 2.5 stable1 for squid confoguration under webmin i correct path of squid executeable and config file. for config file = /usr/local/squid/etc/squid.conf for executeable file = /etc/init.d/squid when i click on save giving followin error "Your version of squid is not supported by webmin, only from 1.1 to 2.5 are supported by this module the command /etc/init.d/squid -v returnd: usage /etc/init.d/squid {stop! reload! status! restart! condrestart} " i also download squid.wbm module from webmin standard modul link but error is still same Regards |
It looks like webmin is passing the command /etc/init.d/squid -v to the init script, which only has stop/reload/status/restart/condrestart as accepted parameters (it doesn't know what its supposed to do with the -v it gets from webmin.
Is there a place in webmin where it will display then entire configuration? If so (I think most modules for webmin have this feature), copy the config, then edit it manually, pasting the config from webmin into the /usr/local/squid/etc/squid.conf file, then running /etc/init.d/squid reload by hand. |

btw its not at all necessary to edit the default settings for test purpose... so just give it a try and see what happens... regards Deep |
