Webmin

Hello all...

I have heard that Webmin is a useful tool for managing a ton of different servers like samba, apache and others. I installed the webmin package from my drake CD but I am not sure how to access it. I thought I read that you had to go to localhost:10000 in a web browser but that didnt do it.

Thanks,
Daivd

Just a note.

For a linux newbie, webmin was EXTREMELY easy to use.

I got all my Samba shares and Printer shares config'd in no time. It really helped out.

I noticed that webmin is an optional package on Mandrake 8.2, but it's an old version. You can get the latest RPMs for install from their site, or from Webmin's home page.

Webmin can upgrade itself. Single click. Overall, it's a pretty sweet program, although some modules are a bit goofy...
