Web Server Migration
 
Hi All

:( I have an existing IIS web server with both CGI and SSI which I would like to migrate to an Apache server.

I have copied the existing web dir to a dir in Linux /mnt/hdb/zaweb. I have changed my httpd.conf file to reflect this as a virtual host as well, but no joy.

My CGI-Scripts and SSI folders are in the zaweb dir as well. Where in the httpd.conf file would I reflect these?

My default page is default.shtml.

Where to now????

Can you give more info besides 'no joy'? Do you get an error message? What directive (httpd.conf setting) did you change?

There is a line that should read
ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ "/mnt/hdb/zaweb/cgi-bin/"
which will point your http://servername.domain/cgi-bin/script.cgi over to (what sounds) like the right place.

The only page I get is the Apache test page.

Ok time for an update:


:D :D :D

I have used all the default locations and vaules in to httpd.conf file and moved all my files into these directories.

I hae managed to get the SSI working as well. All that is not working yet is the CGI and JavaScript.

Any ideas?
