web design tool


I looking for a good web design tool for linux. I know a little html but want to use a gui to design as well. If any one her rembers claris home page on the mac , that the kind of tool i like.

Not familiar with claris. There are a lot of options out there though.

Can anyone tell me how to create a link with Quanta+ ?

Quanta+ is an HTML editor, so you'd use standard markup anchor tags, eg -

<a href="page_to_link_to.html">Link text</a>

Alternatively, I think from memory that Quanta+ also offers a means of generating links using a button on the toolbar, but it's fairly basic - what you're ultimately after is code that looks similar to the above..

Sorry I can't be more specific - I'm away from my machine at the moment, using Windows box at work.

Hey sethgeekx86,
I just use vi but that is my preference. For a good gui tool bluefish looks pretty cool. Lots of features. Give it a try
