VSFTPD Umask options and ownership

Hi there, I have been playing with my umask settings in vsftpd, but I am wondering if anyone can point to a write up on how it works.... what I am trying to accomplish is this..... when a FTP client uploads, I want the permissions of 755 on the file.... and I was also wondering if there is a way to modify the ownership upon upload..... or rather just the group in particular.... I wantto use a custom group, etc.

so file permissions of 755 and ownership of user01:customgroup01

Any help is appreciated! thanks!
