HI,

I have set up a vsftpd server behind a nat router. But when i try to connect to it from external ip, i got problem to list the content of my server. I can logon without problem though.

---------error message--------------
Transfer channel can't be opened. Reason: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

Is any of my setting wrong ?

anonymous_enable=NO
local_enable=YES
dirmessage_enable=YES
xferlog_enable=YES

pam_service_name=vsftpd
rsa_cert_file=/etc/ssl/certs/ssl-cert-snakeoil.pem
rsa_private_key_file=/etc/ssl/private/ssl-cert-snakeoil.key
listen_port=33881
pasv_enable=YES
accept_timeout=60
connect_timeout=60
pasv_max_port=0
pasv_min_port=0

Looks like your attempting to use Passive ftp transfers but don't have any min/max ports set for it. See if setting a port range or even a single port helps the situation.

hmm i am using filzila ftp client (open source windows version). But then i change to ws_ftp things work beautiflully. Maybe its some of the setting on the ftp client i am not aware of causing the problem.

But i did change the port back from 33881 to default 21 to allow my netgear properly forward the port , coz for some reason i can't do port forward for port 20 on my netgear router(keep complain port in use??).

I also have remove the pasv_max_port=0 & pasv_min_port=0 and it still didn't work on filzela.
