Unhappy vsftp user hiden files

i'm running vsftpd for the first time, i have anonymous login disable, so i'm using local accounts to login, but every time i logging using one of this accounts i'm been able to see the hidden files ( .bashrc, .bash_logout etc...) of the user directory.

Can some one please tell me how to stop this from happening.

[062] - vsftpd 0.9.2 (Development)

Category: Internet :: File Transfer Protocol (FTP)

About: vsftpd is an FTP server written from the ground up to be free of
security holes, whilst providing safeguards so the impact is low if it
isn't. It is also very small and fast.

Changes: Added bandwidth limiting support, simple guest support, and user
deny list support. Fixed chown_upload. Enhanced PAM support. Enhanced HP-UX
support. Speeded up directory listing. Changed to not show dotfiles by
default.

According to that, it should should not show .files by default after version 0.9.2. So I'm guessing you have an earlier version than that. So I would say, look through your vsftpd.conf file for something like show_hidden, or show_dot, just read the whole thing and try to find something that is making it show the . files. Then either comment it out or set it equal to no. If that doesn't work, then upgrade to the latest version and by default it shouldn't show the .files. Your vsftpd.conf file should be in /etc or /etc/vsftpd, you can do a search for it though on your computer with the find command. Good luck.
