hi, im running dual 15" lcd's at 1024x768 each (yes i know its low)

i have been running a vncserver on :1 for a while, but lately ive been wanting to use apps i leave open on my main desktop. however when i type vncserver :0 -geometry 2048x768 i get an error saying some tmp file exists so :0 is locked. when i delete this file and run it i jsut get a grey screen when i load into the vnc. Im using gnome and the "remote desktop" works perfectly aside from it only shows the left 1024x768 of my desktop, it shows the other part as existing, and i can click around in it but it is solid black. i understand the server that "remote desktop" starts is vino-server, is their anyway i can start this via command line and enable it to show all of it? or a way i can use "vncserver" to run on :0?? any help would be greatly apreciated, thank you.

Try this help page on realvnc's web site. I just set up a server using their suggestions and it worked perfectly.
