vnc remote desktop gray
 

i set up vnc on my CentOS box. I made the changes to /.vnc/xstartup to allow x to startup. I made the changes and it worked. After restarting the box and logging in with vnc I got the gray desktop with just a terminal window. I check the xstartup file to see if it looked the same and it does. So why is it not working?

hi, are you loging in using a browser or a vnc client? because if you are using a browser, it gotta have java enabled in order to vnc desktop to work well.
