Unhappy VNC Keyboard Problem

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
I'm having issues with VNC!! I use it to connect from my XP box to my Suse10 Server. The connection works fine (can see the server's screen) & the Server's keyboard works fine from the server itself. However, for some reason the keyboard doesn't work through VNC.

I think this might have happened after I changed my keyboard layout through SaX2 from US to UK. Everything seemed to screw up!!

Xorg.0.log comaplains about a missing keymap -- server-0.xkm and sax won't change my keyboard mappings any more -- they are stuck on Albaina!!

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

use putty.exe from windows.
open via ssh a console
and edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf by hand
But I suppose that you even wont be able to do this cause your keyb. is configured to
Albaina...

I'll give putty a go.

Odd thing though, even though the KB is set to Albanian I can still use it! It's only when I VNC in that the Remote Computer's KB doesn't seem to work. I'm a little weary about editing xorg.conf by hand -- I might completely kill the KB!

Anyone ever seen this sort of problem? Any hints/clues?
