VNC Installation CLI only

I am kind of stuck...

I have a Fedora Core 4 installation that I have no Keyboard and Mouse for it (its usb only pc and i need the usb mouse and keyboard on another system) I have access thru Putty from my windows machine.

How do I get VNC going so I can use my VNC viewer from my windows computer to get to a graphical desktop on that computer?

Glad that you found the article useful Did you manage to get your computer to boot without the keyboard?

I would guess that from post3, yes he did.

If your having trouble doing the same then check the BIOS for Keyboard and mouse checking and disable it

I did not manage to get it to boot w/o the keyboard though. I had to plug the keyboard in until it booted.

Man it is so simple its ridiculous to set up VNC on a remote pc using only CLI.

type: vncserver to start up VNC and then if needed add the password.

then edit the file

~/.vnc/xstartup

to remove the # from the only places it is

start vncserver and bam done.

Or you can set your bios to ignore all errors if need be.
