vnc and truetype fonts

Hi,
I am using fedora core 1 and am having trouble setting up vnc with truetype fonts. I have set up the font server to listen to TCP connections (it was disabled by default). The vncserver script too has been modified to include truetype fonts. Specifically i added the string "-fp tcp/localhost:7100,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc/" to the Xvnc command line in the script. Running xfsinfo -server tcp/localhost:7100 gives the following info

name of server: tcp/localhost:7100
version number: 2
vendor string: The XFree86 Project (experimental version)
vendor release number: 6600
maximum request size: 8192 longwords (32768 bytes)
number of catalogues: 1
all
Number of alternate servers: 0
number of extensions: 0

Observing the log for the vnc file there is no error to indicate that Xvnc is not able to set the font path. Running xset fp+ tcp/localhost:7100 inside vnc has no effect. I tried to see the fonts using xfontsel program but it didn't show any new fonts even after running xset. I am really stumped and a little bit frustrated. Could somebody please help me out????. Running fslsfonts -server tcp/localhost:7100 gives a list of fonts. The vncserver and Xvnc programs are from the distro. I seem to have taken care of all the issues but something is going wrong.

Praveen.
