Post VMware virtual machine with the RedHat9 can not recognize win7 hard drive


VMware virtual machine with the RedHat9 can not recognize win7 hard drive, so can not be mount,how to solve?
Situation is showed in the Figure,when type the command ,it do not display the hard disk, and can not quit,how can I solve it?
Seeking for help , thank you! !

Install samba on your red hat virtual machine.

Virtual machines are isolated from real hardware, you have to share a folder and open it in RedHat9 with a samba mount.

BUT REDHAT9 IS ALMOST A DECADE OLD, if you just picked up a distribution, then it is the worst choice. Redhat (not Enterprise) Linux is now called Fedora.

FYI, Fedora is the bleeding edge R&D distro. If you need a long term stable distro, get Centos = free copy of RHEL.

rh 9 is so old i would not expect it to be able to see a win7 ntfs drive

i do not think there was ever a working r/w ntfs driver for it .

use CentOS 5.5
