Can someone tell me the path to find the config.pl file for re-initializing the free VMWare server?
I just updated my CentOS 5 kernel and realize that I have to re-run the config.pl script to get VMWare working again but can't find it anywhere even using the search function on the file browser.
Or do I start out like I'm doing a full installation (unpacking the files to /tmp)and it will see the existing guest OS and not overwrite it but just update things?

As root or equivalent type: /usr/bin/vmware-config.pl
If you have nor done so already please download, extract and use the vmware-any-any-update, this will also run the configuration at the end of the update process.
I've been running Win2000 as a guest and the only two problems (which I can work around) is that I can't get the guest to print to the printers if they are on the host. For the HP on the parallel port, I get an access denied message about the port. If I put the printer on a Win machine, I can print to it through samba no problem.
The other problem is that if I try to play a movie in the guest, the Roxio or Nero movie player will sort of pulse but not play. However, since xine works like a charm on the host, I've got it covered.

The vmware-any-any-update is an update for VMWare 3,4,5 or 6 workstation or player and for VMWare-server so they work with the latest version of the OS.
