Vmware troubles
I'm running Suse 9.2, and after finally getting it installed, it tells me that my device /media/dvd/ exists, but it does not point to a CD-Rom device and thusly will be disabled, so I cannot install Windows XP into my Vmware. But it is a CD-Rom! It just boots and says there was not bootable disk found and that's where it stops.
Does anyone know how I can fix this? And yes, I've searched Google. :Pengy: |
What does youe /media/dvd point to? What is in your fstab?
Is there a /dev/cdrom entry? What does it say? In your /var/dmesg, what does it say about your CDROM? |
/media/dvd/ points to my DVD-Rom drive! /dev/cdrom/ isn't recognized by VMware.
Since I'm not on Linux right now I can't check the other items, but I will later. |
