Hi All

I installed vmware server 2.0 on ubuntu 11.4 but this error came

code

What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running
kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include]

I hope to find a solution

Thank you very much

Hello,

That should work normally. /usr/src/linux is a symbolic link to the /usr/src/linux-headers-<your-kernel> directory which contains the include directory in which the header files are included. Just accepting the default in this case should work.

Kind regards,

Eric

Hi,

Did you install the header package? Check if you have them installed with:
Code:
sudo dpkg -l 'linux-headers*'
Install them using:
Code:
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r)
then try again.

Kind regards,

Eric
