VMware Player 'Gtk::IconThemeError'

Hi,

Suddenly my VMware Player (2.0.5) fails to start.
When I execute it in console I can see following message:
"terminate called after throwing an instance of 'Gtk::IconThemeError'"

Any Ideas what could be wrong?
Reinstallation or reconfiguration (vmware-config.pl) does not help.
Changing theme for icons in GNOME does not work as well.

I haven't found any solution in Internet.

regards
Rafal

For me seems like issue with VMware player 2.0.5, because recently I unistalled OpenSUSE 11 on my laptop and tried the same with SLED 10 SP2.
The second time I tried to run VMPlayer it crashed with the same error.

vmware 2.5 works ok

I have not found the solution for VMware-player-2.0.5-109488.x86_64.rpm,
but after I installed VMware-Player-2.5.0-118166.x86_64.rpm package on SLED 10 SP2 64bit, it works fine.

At home have a different situation on OpenSUSE11 32 bit: I am using VMware-player-2.0.5, because VMware-Player-2 5.0 fails with installation.

There is small difference between 2.5 and 2.0.5. All older versions of VMware Player (before 2.5) required execution of "vmware-config.pl". The latest version not. Whole installation process looked like this:
Code:
sled10:/home/rafal # rpm -ivh VM*2.5*64.rpm
Przygotowywanie... ########################################### [100%]
   1:VMware-Player ########################################### [100%]
Extracting VMware Installer...done.
Installing VMware Installer 1.0
Copying files...
Configuring...
Installing VMware Player 2.5.0
Copying files...
Configuring...
Installing VMware Player 2.5.0
Copying files...
Configuring...
Installation was successful
I'm closing that topic for now (though there was no solution fot Gtk:Theme problem).

regards
Rafal

Exclamation

In case you are interested, the solution for me for this error message was to remove/rename the $HOME/.local directory.
