VMware memory!!
Hi, I have vmware in Redhat 8.0 as Host and now I have troubles with my vmware memory, as Guest I have Windows Advanced Server, 3 days a go I don't have problems, but now I can't do anything becuase appear me application error the instructions at "0x004581f1" referenced memory at "0x000000000" the memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate the program. Also I have troubles with Internet sometimes in my Windows guest the internet connection is OK, but often appear me no connection to the internet is currently available. What's wrong?
was andvanced server accessbile over the internet?
if so, is it running IIS? if so, did you patch it up 1st?
i dont know the affects of things like code red and nimda, but i get more of those
in my server logs than i do actual legitimate requests. if you didnt patch up the windows stuff,
you could possibly have been infected. this is just a shot in the dark
and could be way off.
and i must ask, why are you running windows advanced server inside of linux? are you actually using its server features?
if so, then what do you use linux for?

Hi, I use Windows inside Linux becuase I work in software development, testing, and deployment, I can build mission-critical Windows- and Linux-based applications, develop and test multi-tier applications on multiple operating systems simultaneously, About servers I'm running server in my Linux Box, I chosen windows advanced server because I think is more stable than others windows and I know that M$ windows sucks!! and what kind of patch did you did you say me?
patch needed.... the latest service pack. if you do a fresh install
of windows out of the box and have IIS running, you'll be infected
with Nimda or CodeRed in a matter of minutes.
