Question VMWare Live-CD

I was wondering if I can use VMWare on a Live-CD,
And what distribution would be best for building my own Linux Distro that will work with VMWare?

I think that LFS might be good,
But I couldn't find any info on using VMWare under it.

O and I don't wont to run that Live-Cd on VMWare so thrs no confusion.

Any help?

Do you mean run the vmware host from a live cd?

Then would you house the guest os images on a hard drive?

Just a guess but I would think that running from a live cd would be an inefficient use of ram in an environment that ram usage is already your biggest enemy.

Exclamation

Actually I need to do this using Live-CD because that's the only media that can boot at this time on this system except the HD.

I mainly was wondering about Puppy Linux and the install proses for VMWare IE... if thrs any problem with installing VMWare on Puppy Linux being that the proses of configuring VMWare is different for each development of Linux,
Or it may be unsupported.

I guess that a name change is in order for my post.

I also would like to apologize because I only now realized that this post runs dangerously close to another I made earlier.

I didnt think that they were so close,
But I now believe that I may have made a mistake,
So I'm sorry.

Any help?
