Hi All,

I installed

VMware-workstation-5.0.0-13124.i386.rpm

in Fedora Core 3.

It got installed successfully, but now when i run it and choose Windows XP Proffessional as virtual machine, and then start it, it gives me an error :-

"Unable to change virtual machine power state: A VMware Workstation license does not exist or the VMware Workstation license you are using has expired. Your virtual machine cannot be powered on.

Please contact VMware, Inc. to obtain a new serial number."

Plz help me in running windows in Linux.

You need to purchase a license. There is no way around it.
If you need to run win apps in linux - use wine...

But many ppl are using it withou any problem. They did not purchase any kind of license.

You can get a trial license for 30 days. If that ended, you have to buy a license. If you read that people are using it with out paying for the license after the trial has lapse, then that is wrong. I bought my license.
