Vmware and Internet!

Hello I really need help, I installed VMware Workstation on my computer and put Mandrake Linux 7.1 on the guest, now when I try to go on the internet it doesn't want to work. The information I have is I am installing it on Vmware 3.2.1. Now when I did install Mandrake to my computer without Vmware the internet worked fine. So it has to do with the program...since I am not too good with Vmware and I am new at it I was wondering if someone can tell me what to do to get the internet working I really need to get this started

What kind of host operating system do you have (windows/linux) ?

Did you set up the network devices in teh vmware - it's kind of tricky
Did you set up the network in your Mandrake

if you have isntalled the vmware on linux
when you do

Code:

/sbin/lsmod

look for entries like vmnet and vmmon
vmnet 18368 2
vmmon 23052 0

than vmware is useing a private loopback network

on linux run vmware-config.plto reconfigure your vmware

it's host is Windows Server 2003 sorry I forgot about that.

Also I might add that when Linux starts up it says this for my ethernet...
Starting eht0 FAILED

I'm not familiar with vmware for windows. I set up few under linux but not under windows. No idea!

And I'm convinced that it's better this way for beeing sure everything works
