vmplayer:error while powering on:

Hello,

The other day I have successfully installed and configured vmplayer (freeware) and were also able to access Mandriva 2007 with it and use it at its best.

I did not configured (intentionally) Mandriva2007 in wmplayer to have internet access. Nevertheless, since I have started up vmplayer with the internet cable plugged in (although I resist to think, that this "hotplugging" has anything to do with it) I am not able to start up my vmplayer instead it gives me this error message:

"Error while powering on: failed to launch peer process"

I am absolutely clueless what this means, especially because just the days before it worked perfectly fine!

Any help or a simple explanation would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance
