mplayer displays error message Couldn't open DVD device: /dev/dvd (No such file or directory)
regardless of whether /dev/cdrom (sr0) or /dev/dvd (sr1) are used.
smplayer displays the error message mplayer/mpv has finished unexpectedly. Exit code:2

off hand i would say this is a issue with upgrading from 21 to 23

have a look at the output of this
Code:
su -
rpm -qa | grep fc21
there should be 5 or 6 old 21 rpms still installed
( if nothing changed there is no reason to rename it so a few 21 rpms will be in the 23 repos )

BUT

if there are 20 , 40, 80 fedora 21 rpm's installed
then there is a problem
