(VLC) how to remove top & bottom black bars
VLC, ubuntu 10.04
i was wonderin when watchin a movie how do i remove the black bars that are on top & bottom of the screen? |
you mean black sections that appear with widescreen movies or some bug that make black bar in fullscreen?
try with other players too. |
while video is playing right click video / aspect ratio
change the aspect ratio minimal view fullscreen |
i mean when u play them in widescreen not a bug....i have a widesreen tv with a built in dvd player....when i burn a movie and play it threw the dvd player the black bars dont show up when i hook up the computer to the tv & play the same movie the black bars show up......i tried the aspect ratio & changed it fullscreen but it still there.

in VLC, press c to crop the image, so if there are black bars on top and below, it will cut [most of] them off. The best thing to do is cut it to your screens aspect ratio, ie. cut it to 16:9 so you can get the widest in fullscreen and be sure that you're not cutting anything off.
