Hi,
I am presently running Ubuntu 13.04 on a System76 Gazelle Professional (gazp9). There seems to be an error in VLC (the media player) where, if I am playing music in VLC and try to activate the visualization feature via right click > Audio > Visualizations > [choice of visualization], all that is displayed is a blank screen of green.
Here's a screenshot: http://imgur.com/fMjZAdK
Is there any method of correcting this so that the visualizations are usable? I've googled around for solutions, but I haven't found any.
Thanks,
Minty

Oh, yeah... That's right. There's a driver package for system76 computers available for download, and I forgot to install it. My bad. downloading that should fix this.
Sorry to resurrect this thread, but...
After downloading the appropriate drivers from System76, I automatically/stupidly/lazily thought that the problem was resolved, and so I neglected to read more closely the intended purposes of the System76 driers- to enable brightness controls, airplane mode toggle, and other cool stuff like that. But there was no mention of any graphical assistance. I noticed this quickly on trying to use visualization in VLC in Ubuntu. Visualizations still didn't work. I thought meh, this is a minor issue, and I installed Xubuntu 13.04 on this same computer. (I'm a distro hopper and proud of it lol) In Xubuntu's native Parole Media Player, visualizations still didn't work. The same green screen is presented when visualizations are requested. Also, I've googled around some more for some potential solutions, to no avail. So, I haven't got the slightest idea what's causing this. Because when I was running Linux Mint 15, visualization worked fine. Any ideas? I'd be much obliged for your help.
