Vista + Ubuntu dual boot
I have linux and 64vista set to dual boot on my laptop, when i put linux on my laptop i spent about a week pimping it out and configuring all the stuff i want. Well not suprized at all but over time my vista install has gotten slower and well you know how your preformance expires after a few months with windows....
My question is... Can I reformat and do a clean install of windows without affecting my dual boot or affecting my ubuntu install thanx in advance |
you should be able to install vista again, using the same partition, only thing that will get overwritten is your GRUB/LILO boot loader, since vista will reinstall/overwrite the MBR. You'll need to use your distro's boot disk, or knoppix disc, or some rescue disc to reactivate grub/lilo, by reinstalling it.
**EDIT** Offcourse what i meant is REFORMAT the partition vista is on, and use that same space to reinstall Vista **/EDIT** |
