VirtualBox and networking
Hello,
I've installed VirtualBox, my host is OpenSuSE and I am running 2 virtual OpenSuSE Machines on it. My current host has 6 Physical NIC's and I need to have 1 VM work with 5 of those NIC's and 1 VM with the same 5 NIC's but the NIC's for my VM's are all under a diferrent vlan's. example: Virtual Machine 1: NIC0=vlan 100 for VM1 NIC1=valn 200 for VM1 NIC2=vlan 300 for VM1 NIC3=valn 400 for VM1 NIC4=vlan 500 for VM1 Virtual Machine 2 NIC0=vlan 600 for VM2 NIC1=valn 700 for VM2 NIC2=vlan 800 for VM2 NIC3=valn 900 for VM2 NIC4=vlan 1000 for VM2 Can this be done with VirtualBox? Does it need to be done under a bridging? Any help will be appreciated!!! Txs |
until you get a better reply...as I am not experienced in this area consider 2 diff ways
http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Advan...tworking_Linux or d/l the docs and read 6.5 and onwards http://www.virtualbox.org/download/1.6.0/UserManual.pdf |
txs aus9,
That helped a lot, I downloaded a new rpm (VirtualBox-1.5.2_25433_openSUSE103-1.i586.rpm) and it worked great. more info can be found at: http://en.opensuse.org/VirtualBox_Installation which is a step by step tutorial on Vbox for SuSE 10.2 and 10.3 |
