virtualbox and iPod hot pluging no longer working

ok I got a iPod. I am running VOID Linux. the automount works with my iPod until i install virtualbox then it stops working. I un-install virtualbox and it starts working again.

does anyone know the why behind that. is it a simple answer? and how to fix it so I can have virtualbox and automount working too?

Have you tried installing the VirtualBox Guest Additions? Also, make sure to disable USB integration in VirtualBox to test if the VM is taking over the USB device.
