Virtual machine windows xp as host OS and Fedora as guest OS


Hi All,
I have the above installation.I did the default installation and I see is that I cannot enable certain options in the virtualbox manager(VM).
The follwoing options are disabled for me Eg Audio(I am intrested in this particular one) and a couple of others.Can someone explain why is it so?

Many options can only be changed while the VM is not running. Shut down the machine (not suspend or "save the machine state") and try it again.
