I have never heard of this format so far.
How can I vew them if I have got such files, haven't got it now but will have by tomorrow. What application opens it?

It looks like (according to Google) .chn files are the product of a program called maestro (pages were full of jargon I didn't understand, but I get the impression it's something to do with chrystals). I couldn't find anything for Linux that would read that.

Did you happen to mean SHN files? Those are audio, and a lot of programs under Linux can play 'em (try xmms or realplay).

Actually it is CHM format not CHN as I mentioned.

Thanks

.chm looks like it's a Windows help file. You can get a Linux viewer for that here.
