Smile Viewing cd content

I have different kinds of back up documents on cd which i burned with Nero on my windows system. Now i want to view it on my Mandrake. When
i click on the cd icon on my desktop i've got:

mount:wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdc
or too many mounted file systems
please check that the disk is entered correctly

My guess is you either did what I did, or you begin where I messed up.

I compiled my own kernel and did not add the CD Joliet ISOs as file systems the kernel can read. This was really useful for absolutely nothing, other than making it so I can't read many of the cds and dvds I had burned in Windows. I had to recompile with that fixed so I could access the CDs.

Could other things be at fault? maybe, but I know for sure that is what I messed up, and how I had to fix it.
