Video stream support for media players

Well, very simple, I want to watch Internet TV as I do it with the latest release of Winamp in a Windows box. For example the stream of freedom-tv.net which comes in *.m3u format.
I'm using Mandrake Linux 10.1 and, nor Totem media player 0.99, nor Real Player 10 and neither Xine 0.9.23 were been able to handle the stream. Is there any plug-ing missing? are these programs far from internet tv?...should I install WINE and Winamp on top to finally watch Internet tv?
Guys, I'll appreciate any comments on this,
thanks

Firme con Linux!

Unhappy

Now I have Mplayer 1.0 perfectly installed and running, when I try to play the stream http://www.freedom-tv.net/freedom.m3u I get and error: Couldn't resolve name for AF_INET6:http://www.freedom-tv.net ...There is obviously something missing here.
