Video Overlay


Hey, I'm having a kind of funny issue with mplayer. I'm fairly new to linux, maybe there's an easy fix for this:
I want to playback on my TV so I have to set res to 640x480 on the desktop, unfortunately, when I do that the playback turns part of the screen blue. This is what it looks like:

This has something to do with the resolution change, I'm sure.
Any thoughts?
