Video encoders


is there any good video encoders ---like virtualdub for linux ?

How about mencoder, the best thing there is. Or avidemux, very good editor.

I've found transcode to have some useful tools

You can get rpms here:

And if you install apt, resolving dependencies is as easy as "apt-get install transcode" or "apt-get install mplayer"

Note: Virtualdub runs on wine. Wine rpms are available here:
