Vic install


Hi there,

Does anyone know how to install vic its a videoconferencing tool
download from:
http://www-mice.cs.ucl.ac.uk/multimedia/software/vic/

I already do the comand tar, but instead of apper a directory, it only apper a file that is "command not found" by linux Redhat8.0

the same way as any other tar.gz most likely. search this site, and read the rute guide in my siganture.

Try installing tar first - download:
ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/8.0/e....25-8.i386.rpm

Then as root:
rpm -ivh /path/to/tar-1.13.25-8.i386.rpm

I already do:

tar zxvf file
and
gzip -d -c file | tar xfv -

and dont apper the new directory, why??
Is it normal??? (only one file??)

What do you tyoe before you get "command not found".
